  • Teen Read Week Event: Teen Graphic Novel Workshop

    Are you a teen who loves graphic novels? Ever thought of creating one yourself? All middle school and high school students are invited to celebrate Teen Read Week 2012 with Andre Frattino, local author of two graphic novels for teens (The Reaper of St. George Street and Lost Souls of Savannah) featuring teen ghost hunters from St. Augustine! Andre will show you what it takes to become a graphic novel author with opportunities to create your own art if you wish. All teen graphic novel enthusiasts are encouraged to participate in this hands-on workshop. Please call the Library at 827-6950 with any questions and learn more about Andre on his website - this workshop is generously sponsored by the Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library!

  • Gentle Stretching with Gina

    Gentle StretchingWednesday, October 17 @ 10:30 am
    This FREE class emphasizes stretching, coordination of breath with movement, and attention to alignment. The class is designed to create breath awareness, enhance balance, and increase flexibility. Stretching is great for those who are experiencing joint sensitivity, or overall stiffness due to lack of activity. Wear loose clothing, bring a towel and mat. Presented by licensed yoga instructor, Gina Mercado. 

     

  • Teen Read Week: Gaming + Books

    Wednesday, October 17 @ 4 pm
    Tweens and teens are invited to celebrate Teen Read Week with an afterschool gaming session, featuring some of your favorite games on the PS3, xbox 360, & Wii! Just for coming we'll let each gamer pick out a FREE young adult book from our reading cart. Refreshments provided by the Friends of the Library.

     

  • Teen Read Week Event: Movie and Party

    Hunger Games Wednesday, October 17 @ 3 pm

    (PG13)  Set in a future where the Capitol selects a boy and girl from the twelve districts to fight to the death on live television, Katniss Everdeen volunteers to take her younger sister's place for the latest match. Come and see this popular new release book to film movie!!!  Party refreshments will be provided by the Friends of the Bartram Trail Branch Library.
