  • FREE Nemours BrightStart Screenings for Preschoolers Ages 3 - 5

    storytimeTuesday, November 27 from 10 am - 12:30 pm

    Children ages 3 - 5 are invited to receive a 10-minute FREE Early Literacy Screening at the Library courtesy of Nemours BrightStart! Registration will be taken on a first-come, first serve basis on this day by Angela of Nemours. Nemours BrightStart will be returning in 2013 to conduct more screenings at the Library for those not able to take advantage of the opportunity on this date. Utilize this free screening to find out where your child's literacy strengths lay and what you can do to help them improve in any other areas before they start school!

  • Dr. Gerson Yessin Music Series

    MusicTuesday, November 27 @ 6:30 pm

    This popular music series will feature the Jazz Trio of DOUG MATTHEWS, on piano, RICK KIRKLAND, on drums, & RICK RAVELO, on bass. Everyone is welcome and it's free! Doors will open at 6:00 pm and seating is limited! This program is made possible by the Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library.


  • NaNoWriMo @ the Main Library

    NaNoWriMoTuesdays in November: 6, 13, 20, & 27 @ 5 pm
    National Novel Writing Month or NaNoWriMo is a fun, seat-of-your-pants approach to novel writing. Participants begin writing on November 1. The goal is to write a 50,000-word (approx. 175 page) novel by 11:59:59 PM on November 30. Valuing enthusiasm and perseverance, NaNoWriMo is a novel-writing program for everyone who has thought fleetingly about writing a novel, but has been scared away by the time and effort involved. We'll provide writing space & refreshments each Tuesday for any NaNoWriMo participants!

  • Adult Crochet Group

    Tuesday, November 27 @ 6 pm

    Adults and teens age 14 and older are invited to attend the Project Lap Blanket crochet group at the Bartram Trail Branch Library. The group will crochet or knit blankets for cancer patients at area hospitals. All skill levels are welcome. Can’t come to any of the meetings? Pick up the crochet pattern at the Reference Desk in the library and crochet the blanket in your spare time. Drop off completed blankets and any yarn you’d like to donate during regular library hours.
