This special storytime is made possible by the partnership of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library and Bird Island Park and is sponsored by the Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library. Join us as we read fun bird books, then enjoy Florida birds in Bird Island Park while making birdfeeders for our beaky friends!

How Your Decisions Can Help Improve Our Coastal Communities - Program has been CANCELLED!

Best management practices (BMPs) are effective, practical, structural or nonstructural methods that enhance environmental quality. Implementing BMPs in our communities will help to protect our coastal resources and improve the quality of life to benefit our ecosystems and human populations. A variety of BMPs exist to reduce pollution, improve water quality, reduce impacts to wildlife, and enhance natural ecosystems. The GTM Research Reserve is part of a state-wide program known as the Green Industries Best Management Practices (GI-BMP). This mixer will look at the reserve’s BMP programs, explain the connection between BMPs and make connections to the choices we make as a coastal community. Tuesday, January 22 @ 6:30 pmWear your PJs to this special session of our regular Wednesday storytime where we do storytime backwards! Arts and crafts come first and then we will wind down with some favorite stories. This is a family program that is suitable for all young children.
