This free class emphasizes stretching, coordinating breath with movement, and attention to alignment. The class is designed to create breath awareness, enhance balance, and increase flexibility. Stretching is great for those who experience joint sensitivity or overall stiffness. Wear loose clothing & bring a mat. Presented by yoga instructor, Gina Mercado.

Children, ages 6 - 12, are invited to become Nature Detectives. Learn all about Florida lizards, how to spot them, and how these pollinators relate to gardening. Each child will receive free gardening goodies, including Nature Detective notebooks. These workshops are designed by the Sisterhood of the Traveling Plants, presented by the Garden Circles, and generously sponsored by the Garden Club of St. Augustine. Hey kids, join the Southeast Snack Attack Club at 2pm every Friday until August 2nd. Enjoy a light snack and listen to Miss Kristine read aloud The Year of the Book by Andrea Cheng, one of the 2013-2014 Sunshine State Books for grades 3-5. This story follows a young Chinese American girl as she navigates relationships with family, friends, and her fourth grade classroom, and finds a true best friend.

According to the American Diabetes Association, millions of Americans don't know they have diabetes. Prevention and treatment begins with knowing whether or not you know you suffer from high blood sugar.
The Anastasia Island Branch Library is partnering with Flagler Hospital to provide free blood sugar and blood pressure screenings. This will take place at the Anastasia Island Branch Library on Friday, July 19th between 10am and 12pm. Tests will be administered on a first-come-first-serve basis, and no fasting is required prior to testing.
