  • Free Nemours BrightStart Screenings for Ages 3 - 5

    storytimeTuesday, September 17 from 10am - 12:30pm
    Children ages 3-5 are invited to receive a free, 10-minute Early Literacy Screening at the library, courtesy of Nemours BrightStart. Registration is taken on a first-come, first serve basis by a Nemours representative. Utilize this free screening to find out where your child's literacy strengths lay and what you can do to help them improve in any other areas before they start school.

     

  • Celebrate International Peace Day at Family Storytime

    Celebrate International Peace Day at Family Storytime with stories celebrating peace and diversity with a special dreamcatcher craft afterwards. The dreamcatcher craft comes in a bag so you can catch Nemours BrightStart who will be here to give free early literacy screenings for ages 3 - 5.

     

  • Relax with Raindrop Therapy

    Tuesday, September 17 @ 6pm
    Give your feet a treat with Raindrop Therapy using therapeutic oils. Inspired by the Lakota Indians, Raindrop Therapy has been used for years as a highly effective method for balancing and rejuvenating the mind and body. When properly applied to the neck, back and feet, these essential oils can bring about electrical alignment and help relieve a variety of discomforts caused by imbalances in the body. Presented by licensed massage therapist, Gina Mercado.

    teens gamingTeens, join us for gaming on the Xbox, PlayStation or Wii, play board games, paint, or just hang out with your friends in a fun, friendly environment. Guitars and a keyboard are available if you feel like getting musical.

     

     

  • Bedtime Storytime

    Wear your PJs to this special session of our regular Wednesday storytime where we do storytime backwards. Arts and crafts come first and then we will wind down with some favorite stories. This is a family program that is suitable for all young children.

     

     

  • Adult Crochet Group

    Tuesday, September 17 @ 6pm
    Adults and teens (Age 14+) are invited to attend the Project Lap Blanket crochet group at the Bartram Trail Branch Library. The group will crochet or knit blankets for cancer patients at area hospitals. All skill levels are welcome. Can’t come to any of the meetings? Pick up the crochet pattern at the Reference Desk in the library and crochet the blanket in your spare time. Drop off completed blankets, and any yarn you’d like to donate, during regular library hours.
