  • Teen Advisory Board

    Teens ages 13 - 18 ONLY are invited to join our new Teen Advisory Board and have a say in the materials we order for teens, the teen programs we offer, and much more at the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library! Participation in the Teen Advisory Board counts as service hours and snacks will be served provided by the Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library. Join us for our meeting - led by Youth Services Librarian Anne Crawford - and get involved!


  • Adventures in Art: La Florida, 500 years of Art

    From native and Spanish colonial artifacts, to digital and video art of today, La Florida celebrates 500 years of Florida art.  Join Cummer Museum of Art and Gardens Chief Curator, Holly Keris, for this fascinating presentation.  This program is made possible by FOCUS Cummer and the Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library.

  • After-School Crafts with Teens

    art programWednesday, March 13 from 4 - 5 pm

    Children in Kindergarten - 5th grade, and their caregivers, are invited to make crafts with the teens of Nease High School's Arts in Motion Club! Materials are provided by the Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library, no registration is needed, and it's FREE! Please Note:  All children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the program and starting in January 2013, this program moves from the 1st to the 2nd Wednesday of every month!


  • Teen Tech. Week event: Teen Movie Night (ages 13 - 18 ONLY!)

    All teens ages 13 - 18 ONLY are invited to celebrate Teen Tech. Week 2013 with a special movie showing tied into video gaming! Tired of being overshadowed and seeing all the glory go to Felix, Wreck-it Ralph decides he's tired of playing the role of a bad guy. Call the Library at 827-6950 for more details. Thanks to the Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library, pizza and sodas will be served. Join us!


  • Computer Class: Free E-books for your Kindle

    Learn how to download free e-books from the library's website to your Kindle. Please bring your Kindle and your laptop (if you own one) to class. Laptops will be provided otherwise. Class size is limited. Pre-registration is required. To sign up for this class, please contact the Reference department at (904) 827-6950, or, simply ask at the Reference Desk.

  • Viva Florida 500! -- Teen Graphic Novel Workshop

    Are you a teen who loves graphic novels? Ever thought of creating one yourself? All middle school and high school students are invited to celebrate Teen Tech Week with Andre Frattino, local author of two graphic novels for teens, The Reaper of St. George Street and Lost Souls of Savannah, featuring teen ghost hunters from St. Augustine! Andre will show you what it takes to become a graphic novel author with opportunities to create your own art if you wish. All teen graphic novel enthusiasts are encouraged to participate in this hands-on workshop. Please call the Library at 827-6960 with any questions and learn more about Andre on his website - this workshop is generously sponsored by the Friends of the Bartram Trail Branch Library. 

  • Bartram Trail Genealogy Club

    Are you attending the North Florida Genealogy Conference on March 9? Come to our club meeting the following Saturday to share what you learned! If you were unable to attend the conference, this will be a great opportunity to pick up the high points! The Bartram Trail Genealogy Club is a very casual group of dedicated hobbyists. We always welcome new faces to our monthly discussions.

  • Teen Gamers - It's Teen Tech Week!

    Teens, (grades 6-12) bring your friends and come on out for an evening of gaming on Saturday, March 16 -- we have Guitar Hero, Rock Band, Wii, PS3, or play the newest Halo game on X-Box 360! Refreshments will be served.




  • Special Event: Visit with your local St. Johns County Firefighters!

    Instead of our regular storytimes, we will be having our St. Johns County firefighters here at Anastasia Island Library!  Come out to meet your local heroes and take a tour of their fire truck and learn what a firefighter does!  Be sure to bring your camera to get some great pictures.


  • Teen Tech Week: Pinterest for Tweens & Teens

Bring in your iPad, tablet, smartphone or laptop and learn how to pin your favorite things to your pinboard and share them. This tech tool is lots of fun, no matter what your interest is!
