    Who do you think you are? Learn the basics of using Ancestry.com and FamilySearch.org to start discovering your family's history. Participants must have a basic knowledge of computers.   • AARP Tax Preparation Assistance

    Volunteers from AARP will be available every Thursday through April 10, from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm, to assist with tax preparation. Help is available on a first-come, first-serve basis, with sign up beginning at 1:30 pm. Be sure to bring identification and all necessary paperwork.

     

     

  • St. Johns Reads Event: Genealogy Workshop - Florida Research & Online Resources

    Thursday, February 6 @ 6:30pm

    Florida is a state varied in history and culture. Certified genealogist, C. Ann Staley, will show us how to work through that diversity utilizing resources available online. Some of the many resources being discussed will be Military and Photographic Records, Obituary and Cemetery Databases, Vital Records and Special Collections.  This program is free and no registration is necessary.

    Do you have a child entering college? Every student who applies to college must file the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) to apply for federal student aid (loans or grants) and most state and individual college aid. Please join financial aid director, Wayne Bodiford, for help understanding the FAFSA and college aid process.
