The Community Room will be organized with an eclectic collection of books in excellent condition. The "Better Books Room" will have its share of volumes that any patron would be happy to own at reasonable prices. Tuesday's preview is open only to Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library members. This is your chance to get first choice of books. You can become a Friend of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library at Seymour's Book Store or at the event. Membership begins at just $25. Wednesday through Saturday, the Book Sale will be open to the public. Saturday will once again be Bag Day, where each bag of books is $8. All proceeds go to support the Friends' Mission to make the Ponte Vedra Beach library an outstanding educational, cultural, civic, and recreational center for the community.

Did you miss us? We missed you. After months of construction, renovation, and moving a LOT of books around, we're ready to open the doors and welcome you back. Join us for our official reopening ceremony at 9:30am. Refreshments provided by the Friends of the Main Library St. Augustine.

The Friends of the Main Library St. Augustine are celebrating the reopening of the Mainly Books bookstore with a special week-long sale. All books under the red and white striped awning are $2.00 and titles from the Book Nook are $1.00. There will also be daily prize drawings and refreshments in the bookstore all week. Mainly Books is open Monday through Saturday from 12pm to 3pm.

Kids ages kindergarten and up are invited to learn beginning American Sign Language with teen volunteer, Lexie. Classes will be once per week on Saturdays and are informal and fun.

The St. Augustine Community Theater will present a sing-and-dance along performance of School House Rock Live! Junior at the library. This performance is part of the Cheers for Peers Community Outreach Program and features music and dance from the cartoon series that taught history, grammar, math, science and politics through clever, tuneful songs.

The Knit Wits is a family affair. Kids 8-17 are welcome to learn to knit, or bring along mom so she can learn too. Learn to knit, or bring in something you’ve already started, and knit with the group. Please bring your own knitting needles, if you have them.
