The whole family is invited to join us for a special local children's author visit by Susan Calfee, the picture book author of St. Augustine A to Z: A Young Reader's Guide to America's Oldest City and enjoy making fun Florida crafts afterwards. Susan lives in Ponte Vedra and conceived her book right in our very library. See how much you know about our historic city with this interactive storytime for all ages. Copies of the book will be available for sale, with an author signing afterwards. Proceeds go to our Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library, which gives us money for library books, programs, and more. Curious about the book? It's Toddler Time at Main Library for kids ages 1-3. Join Mr. Andy and Mrs. Marcia in the large meeting room where we will sing, dance, read stories, and more. Seating is limited, so come early. If you don't make it into the first show, we have a repeat performance at 11:30am.

The Florida Library Youth Program (FLYP) is back. This year, it is all about science so we will "fizz, boom and read" through some great programs. This week, we will learn all about the science of sound and explore a variety of music instruments to discover why they make the sounds they do.

Join us in the Children's Library, Thursdays at 10:15am, for a lapsit circle time for the wee little ones, ages 0-16 months. We will explore early, early literacy through rhymes, songs, fingerplays, and sensory exploration. Pre-walkers only please. Once children are able to run, they are ready for Toddler Time.

Yoga is a great way to increase flexibility, lower stress, and improve energy. Learn to relax your mind and body with some simple, kid-friendly stretches and exercises. This program is for beginners and fun for the whole family. It is recommended that you wear loose clothing and bring your own water bottle.

Get crafty and creative with some out-of-the-box art. Experiment with different tools and mediums. Bring home some art that mom or dad will be proud to hang on the fridge. This series, which runs every Thursday through July 31, is appropriate for kids of all ages. Although plastic aprons are supplied, please wear clothing that you feel comfortable painting in. This series is sponsored by the Friends of the Southeast Branch Library.

Daniel Wallace, author of the novel Big Fish, will meet the audience in a live Skyped interview following a presentation of the film based on his book. This program is presented as a fundraiser for the Florida Heritage Book Festival. Everyone is invited and the suggested donation is $5.

Bartram Trail’s FLYP Programs take place at 10am and are held at the Family Activities Building (FAB) at Switzerland Community Church located at 2179 State Road 13. Children of all ages may attend; please be aware, however, that FLYP Programs are geared toward the school-age child. Strollers and street shoes will not be permitted in the building.
