  • Teen Gaming Night

    Held the 2nd Wednesday instead of the 1st Wednesday this month! Teens (Ages 13-18) are invited to have fun with friends at the library. Play "E" and "T"-rated games on our PlayStation 3 (with the new Move), our new Nintendo WiiU, Nintendo Wii, or X-Box 360 (with the new Kinect) set up on three TVs for simultaneous playing. Snacks are provided. This event is generously sponsored by the Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library and our friends at Sony. Call the library at 827-6950 for more details.

     

  • Family Film Series

    Main Library is hosting a summer Family Film Series every Wednesday through August 1 in the large meeting room. Bring the kids and enjoy free organic popcorn, courtesy of Diane's Natural Foods. In today's film, follow Gru as he tries to balance being a supervillian with being a father figure to three orphans. Hilarity ensues as super bad guy morphs into super dad guy. Rated PG.

    Hey kids, beat the heat this summer by challenging your friends in our game room.  Wednesdays from 3:30-5pm, you can try out games on our Xbox, Xbox 360, Playstation 4 and Wii consoles. Gaming sessions begin as soon as the Family Film ends.

    Meet Duffy the Storytime Bear around the parachute every Wednesday for quality time with your baby or toddler. Enjoy songs, stories, fingerplays, games, and so much more during this lapsit program. Want time to socialize? Stick around for the all new Duffy's Stay and Play, where caregivers can chat and little ones can enjoy free play.

    "Shake It Up" every Wednesday during a fun-filled hour of stories, songs, and crafts. This program is designed for a wide range of ages including families with toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary-aged children. We'll be learning about fish this week--blub blub!

  • Summer Reading Event: Prehistoric Pottery

    archaeologyWednesday, July 9 @ 2:30pm & 3:30pm
    Kids can learn about the advent of pottery in Florida and do hands-on experimentation using pottery-making and decorating technology. They will learn how pottery helps archaeologists understand a site and its prehistoric people.  Children of all ages may attend; please be aware, however, that the Summer Reading Events are intended for the school-age child. To ensure that everyone is able to enjoy the program, there will be 95 tickets available 1 hour before each show. This program is sponsored and hosted by the Florida Public Archaeology Network.
