  • Vision Impairment Program

    GlassesVERC (Vision Education & Rehabilitation Center, formerly ILAB) is a community-based rehabilitation program for adults and high school youth who have reduced vision to a degree that some difficulty is experienced in daily activities. Services are provided at no cost to the participant. Individuals learn necessary skills to overcome obstacles of vision loss and gain the confidence they need to lead independent and fulfilling lives. VERC serves five counties:  Baker, Clay, Duval, Nassau, and St. Johns. If you are visually impaired, know someone who is, or have an interest in blindness and low vision, please join us to learn more.

    Love anime or manga? Find like-minded people at our BRAND NEW ANIME CLUB. Chill out, make friends, and watch the animated adventures of a veteran WW1 pilot in 1930s Italy, who has been cursed to look like an anthropomorphic pig. For movie title, call the library at 827-6900. Refreshments will be provided by the Friends of the Southeast Branch Library.

  • SAT/ACT Prep Classes

    Mondays, October 20 and 27; November 10, 17 and 24 @ 5pm and 6:30pm

    ACT/SAT Prep CLassThe Friends of the Bartram Trail Library offers ACT and SAT prep classes beginning Monday, October 20. The SAT 5-class series meets at 5pm and the ACT 5-class series meets at 6:30pm on October 20 and 27; November 10 and 17. Practice tests for both classes are held at 5pm on November 24. Pre-registration is required; registration closes October 8th. For questions and to register, email folbtl@gmail.com . Please provide the student's name, grade, and specify which exam: ACT or SAT.

     

  • Bartram Trail Book Club

    Everyone is invited to discuss Zeitoun, by Dave Eggers. This nonfiction book is about New Orleans, Hurricane Katrina, and Abdulrahman Zeitoun, New Orleans resident and business owner. Zeitoun decided to stay during the hurricane and in the aftermath, spent his time rescuing neighbors and abandoned pets....until he disappeared. New members are always welcome.
