  • LEGO Club for Tweens

    LegoWednesday, September 17 @ 4pm

    Tweens in 4th-7th grades (ages 9 - 13) are invited to the library for an afternoon of building with Legos and hanging out. No registration is necessary and it's free. Thanks to our Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library for providing the Legos for this very special program just for Tweens, including our pink Legos. Tween girl Lego lovers, we want you to join our club, too.

     

  • Flood Determination & Mitigation Assistance

    Flood MitigationWednesday, September 17 @ 10am

    James Schock, of the St. Johns County Building Services Division, will be in to assist residents with flood information. He can help you with floodplain determinations for your property, how to use the iMap application located on the county website, learn your evacuation zone, and ways you may be able to mitigate against flood and wind losses. He is a professional engineer, a certified Building Official as well as a certified Floodplain Manager, a Florida Building Commissioner, and is the Chair for the Structural Technical Advisory Committee for the State of Florida. He will be at the library from 10am until 4pm, so feel free to drop by when it’s convenient for you.

     

  • Brown Bag Lunch: Rosamond Parrish

    Friends of the Main Library St. AugustineWednesday, September 17 @ 12:30pm

    Lincolnville's complicated history and artistic heritage will be the topic of Rosamond Parrish's captivating talk that features vivid images and anecdotes from her book Lincolnville. In addition to hearing how this fascinating neighborhood was the storied center of Civil Rights Movement activity 50 years ago, listeners will learn about current and past artists who've done paintings of Lincolnville landmarks and the folk art that's now part of the local scene. At this program, Parrish will sell her books and donate a percentage of those sales to the library.   • Family Storytime

    In honor of the International Day of Peace to take place on September 21, we'll share stories and talk about how to get along and resolve conflicts. We'll dance, sing, and do a craft as well.

     

  • Stay 'n Play

    There's no need to rush out after storytime - instead, stick around for Stay 'n Play. Relax with other adults while your child gets a chance to play and socialize, too! Games, puzzles, and toys are available.

     

  • Little Ones Storytime

    Join us for a fun, musical lapsit program with songs, stories, fingerplays, and parachute games for babies and toddlers. All little ones are welcome.

     

  • Family Storytime

    Giggling at StorytimeWednesday, September 17 @ 11am

    "Shake it Up" during a fun-filled hour of stories, songs, and crafts for families with toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary-aged kids.
