  • Computer Class: Genealogy Online

    Who do you think you are? Learn the basics of using Ancestry.com and FamilySearch.org to start discovering your family's history. Participants must have a basic knowledge of computers. Pre-registration is required. To sign up for this class, please stop by the Reference department or call the library at 827-6950.

     

  • Toddler Time

    Toddler Time is a story time program designed for children ages 1-3 years of age.  Join Mr. Andy and Mrs. Marcia in The Large Meeting Room for singing, dancing, and stories. There are two Toddler Times each Thursday. The first one is at 11am with a repeat performance at 11:30am. If you can't make one then try the other. See you there.

     

  • Adult Bingo for Books

    Do you love free books and playing B-I-N-G-O? Come to the library, make new friends or bring old friends along, and win adult fiction and non-fiction books. Everyone is guaranteed to go home with at least one book. Book prizes are generously donated by the Friends of the Main Library St. Augustine. Everyone is welcome and it's free.

    Join us every second and fourth Thursday in the large meeting room for after school gaming. Challenge your friends on our Wii, Playstation 3, Xbox and Xbox 360 game sessions. For ages 6-16. Everyone gets a chance to play.

    Yoga is a great way to increase flexibility, lower stress, and improve energy. Learn to relax your mind and body with some simple, kid-friendly stretches and exercises. This program is for beginners and fun for the whole family. Please wear loose clothing and bring your own towel or mat.

All of your questions can be answered in a 30-minute, one-on-one session with the Reference Team right here at the Bartram Trail Library.   • Tai-Chi: Enter the Healing Journey

    In the remaining parts of this journey into the ancient Chinese healing exercise, you will learn and practice Tai-Chi. In class, students will perform soft, continuous movements that will allow them to receive many positive aspects of renewed health, while developing internal stillness. Some of the benefits of Tai-Chi include: relief from muscular tension and anxiety, increased concentration and memory, enhanced sensory awareness, and improved balance. This free workshop is presented by Hector M. Ruiz, Jr., a certified instructor in Tai-Chi and Qi Gong.

     

  • National Comic Book Day Teen Craft

    National Comic Book DayThursday, September 25 @ 4:45pm

    Teens (Ages 12-18), come to the library to make some really cool comic book-themed clocks. We'll supply the clocks, comics, and even a snack -- you supply the imagination. Sponsored by the Friends of the Anastasia Island Library.
