Kids Summer Program: MINION-CON!

Minion-ConWednesday, July 29 @ 2:30pm

Bee doo! Bee doo! Bee doo! Minions Stuart, Kevin and Bob are are this summer's big stars and unlikely heroes. Come to the library for MINION-CON.  We will have a photo station where you can dress-up, food station to eat special Minion food, and crafting stations to make some fun Minion crafts.  Feel free to come in costume . . . we will!  Don't forget your cameras!!!

 

Unlikely Heroes: Teen Movie, Pizza and Craft!

(PG) In order to save their home from foreclosure, a group of misfits set out to find a pirate's ancient treasure. Chunk, Mikey, Data, Mouth, Brand, Andy and Stef become unlikely hereoes when they face off with the Fratellis and One Eyed Willie! Teens (ages 12-17) can come in out of the heat to watch the movie  that started all the jurassic craze while eating pizza and making a cool craft. *Sponsored by the Friends of the Anastasia Island Branch Library.

 

Kids Summer Program: Superhero Sponge Event!

(PG) Kids can come into the library to see one of our most unlikely heroes ever in action in this newly released DVD! When a diabolical pirate above the sea steals the secret Krabby Patty formula, SpongeBob and his nemesis Plankton must team up in order to get it back. Kid Summer Program: Timucuan Pyrotechnics

Timucuan PyrotechnicsWednesday, July 8 @ 2:30pm & 3:30pm

The folks from The Florida Public Archaeology Network will introduce students to Timucuan culture, focusing on ways that local prehistoric people used fire to meet their daily needs. A hands-on experiment provides a bang as students use balloons (and water balloons!) to explore how prehistoric people could cook prior to the advent of pottery. Come in for this hands-on, educational program!

Remembering: Stories on a Summer Afternoon

Join the Tale Tellers of Saint Augustine Ensemble for an afternoon of storytelling at its finest. The Tale Tellers of St. Augustine, a non-profit organization of cultural and educational orientation, was founded in 1993 to promote the art and perpetuate the tradition of storytelling. Dedicated to community enrichment, the guild promotes the art of storytelling by sponsoring its membership in performance. This event is Free & Open to the Public. Program recommended for listeners 12 years & over.
