AARP Tax Assistance

Thursdays,  April 3 & 10 @ 10am - 2pm
The AARP Tax-Aide program offers free, one-on-one counseling to help individuals prepare basic tax forms, including the 1040, 1040A, 1040EZ, and other standard schedules. Counseling is available to all low-to-middle income taxpayers, regardless of age. No advance registration is needed, people will be taken on a first-come, first-serve basis. Individuals must bring a photo ID, last year's tax return, and all relevant tax information with them.

Harold Fry is convinced that he must deliver a letter to an old love in order to save her, meeting various characters along the way and reminiscing about the events of his past and people he has known, as he tries to find peace and acceptance. Teen Epic Movie Event

(PG13) Come see the second part in the epic tale of Bilbo Baggins. The dwarves, along with Bilbo Baggins and Gandalf the Grey, continue their quest to reclaim Erebor, their homeland, from Smaug. Bilbo Baggins is in possession of a mysterious and magical ring. Light snacks will be provided by the Friends of the Anastasia Island Branch Library.

 

New Disney DVD Release Family Movie Event

(PG) Bring in the whole family to enjoy this new Disney DVD release. Fearless optimist Anna teams up with Kristoff in an epic journey. Encountering Everest-like conditions, and a hilarious snowman named Olaf, they race to find Anna's sister Elsa, whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom in eternal winter. Light snacks will be provided by the Friends of the Anastasia Island Branch Library.

(PG13) The movie tells the stories of nine girls from different parts of the world who face arranged marriages, child slavery, and other heartbreaking injustices. Despite these obstacles, the brave girls offer hope and inspiration. By getting an education, they're able to break barriers and create change. Gentle Stretching With Gina

This free class emphasizes stretching, coordination of breath with movement, and attention to alignment. The class is designed to create breath awareness, enhance balance, and increase flexibility. Stretching is great for those who are experiencing joint sensitivity, or overall stiffness. Wear loose clothing, bring a towel & mat. Presented by yoga instructor, Gina Mercado.

Relax with Raindrop Therapy

Raindrop TherapyThursday, April 3 @ 6pm  
Give your feet a treat by experiencing Raindrop Therapy. Inspired by the Lakota Indians, Raindrop Therapy uses therapeutic oils for balancing and rejuvenating the mind and body. When properly applied to the neck, back and feet, these essential oils can bring about electrical alignment and help relieve a variety of discomforts caused by imbalances in the body. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Anastasia Island Branch Library.

 

Knit Wits Knitting Club for Kids & Teens

The Knit Wits is a family affair. Kids 8-17 are welcome to learn to knit, or bring along mom so she can learn too. Learn to knit, or bring in something you’ve already started, and knit with the group. Please bring your own knitting needles, if you have them.
