Gillian Flynn's Gone Girl is a toxic mix of sharp-edged wit and deliciously chilling prose resulting in a nerve-fraying thriller that confounds readers at every turn. When his wife disappears on their anniversary, Nick starts having cringe-worthy daydreams and becomes oddly evasive, eschewing his golden boy past in this bestselling novel. Reserve it.
Thursday, August 8 @ 3pm
Teens (ages 12-17) are invited to make decorations to use in this year's school lockers. We'll have items on hand to create locker mirrors, cool magnets, and tricked out CD decorations. According to the American Diabetes Association, millions of Americans don't know they have diabetes. Prevention and treatment begins with knowing whether or not you know you suffer from high blood sugar.
The Anastasia Island Branch Library is partnering with Flagler Hospital to provide free blood sugar and blood pressure screenings. This will take place at the Anastasia Island Branch Library on Friday, July 19th between 10am and 12pm. Tests will be administered on a first-come-first-serve basis, and no fasting is required prior to testing.
