Give your feet a treat by experiencing Raindrop Therapy. Inspired by the Lakota Indians, Raindrop Therapy uses therapeutic oils for balancing and rejuvenating the mind and body. When properly applied to the neck, back and feet, these essential oils can bring about electrical alignment and help relieve a variety of discomforts caused by imbalances in the body. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Anastasia Island Branch Library.

Between 1937 and 1942, Stetson Kennedy led the Florida Writers Project unit on folklore, oral history, and social-ethnic studies for the Works Progress Administration. He hauled a sound recorder the size of a large coffee table around the state to capture the songs, tales, and anecdotes of pogey fishermen at Mayport, railroad gandy-dancers, Latin cigar makers, Greek spongers, and turpentiners. Among the results was what Stetson called, "...A sort of barefoot social history of Florida." All are welcome to join the discussion. Reserve it.
