Do you have a child entering college? Every student who applies to college must file the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) to apply for federal student aid (loans or grants) and most state and individual college aid. Please join financial aid director, Wayne Bodiford, for help understanding the FAFSA and college aid process.

 

Jacksonville Genealogy Society Intermediate Genealogy Class

The Jacksonville Genealogy Society will be holding a four-session, Intermediate Genealogy Class, featuring research in the U.S., from 10am to 2pm at the Bartram Trail Branch Library on the following Saturdays: November 23rd, December 7th, 14th, and 21st. Topics will include: Genealogical identification; records & sources - analysis & evaluation; vital records (government & church); land records; immigration & naturalization; often overlooked sources; planning a research trip; publishing your history, and more. There is no charge to attend this series. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Please register by emailing your name, address and phone number to jaxgen@comcast.net.

 

Teen Volunteer Orientation

Moon Viewing and Star Gazing

Looking for an event the entire family will enjoy? The Northeast Florida Astronomy Society will be here to show us the moon and the stars. (Weather permitting.) Groups are asked to register in advance by contacting Carla or Melissa at 827-6960.

 

Summer Reading Event: SingleVision

Extinction is forever but you can help. Visit with our animal guests and learn from SingleVision how you can protect rare wildlife.

Bartram Trail’s FLYP Programs take place at 10am and are held at the Family Activities Building (FAB) at Switzerland Community Church located at 2179 State Road 13. Children of all ages may attend; please be aware, however, that FLYP Programs are geared toward the school-age child. Strollers and street shoes will not be permitted in the building. Contact the library at 827-6960 for additional information. This event is sponsored by the Bartram Trail Branch Friends of the Library.
