Acrylic Painting Class for Adults

Seniors and adults, discover art through the Library and its resources. Those who have never held a paintbrush, mixed colors, or created a personal masterpiece will have the opportunity to do so completely free of charge. This workshop is sponsored by the St. Johns Cultural Council and the State of the Arts License Plate Program and the Friends of the Bartram Trail Branch Library. Interested artists should call 827-6960 to sign up for the workshop.

Jacksonville Genealogy Introduction to Genealogy Session III

The Jacksonville Genealogy Society will be holding the last session of the Introduction to Genealogy Class on November 22, 2014.  This class is for the beginner researcher and the experienced researcher looking for a refresher course. Subjects include: Back to Basics; Research Documentation; Sources-What are they?; Dates, Places & Relationships; Use of Vital, Court, and Church Records; Record Keeping; and much more. Registration is requested for planning purposes. Please register by emailing your name, address and phone number to info@jaxgen.org. There is no charge to attend this series.

This month's selection is 11/22/63 by Stephen King. Life can change in an instant as it does for Jake Epping, a high school English teacher in Lisbon Falls, Maine.
