Beginner Genealogy Class

Jacksonville Genealogical Society, Inc. (JGS) will be holding a four-session Beginner Genealogy Class, featuring research in the U.S., on the following Saturdays:

 

May 25, 2013: Researching in a Straight Line---Backwards, Class 1. Back to Basics; Research Documentation; Sources-What are they?; Dates, Places & Relationships; Family Tree Software

June 1, 2013: Researching in a Straight Line---Backwards, Class 2. Organization; Church Records; and Vital Records

June 8, 2013: Researching in a Straight Line---Backwards, Class 3. Census Returns and Court Records

June 22, 2013: Researching in a Straight Line---Backwards, Class 4. Resource Sources, Evidence Analysis, and Timelines

These free sessions are for the beginner researcher and the experienced researcher looking for a refresher course. Certificates of Completion will be given to those persons who attend at least three of the four class dates. Register by sending an email to education@jaxgen.org with your name, address, and phone number.
