Adult Crochet Group

Adults and teens age 14 and older are invited to attend the Project Lap Blanket crochet group at the Bartram Trail Branch Library. The group will crochet or knit blankets for cancer patients at area hospitals. All skill levels are welcome. Can’t come to any of the meetings? Pick up the crochet pattern at the Reference Desk in the library and crochet the blanket in your spare time. Drop off completed blankets and any yarn you’d like to donate during regular library hours.

International Affairs Discussion

The International Affairs Discussion Group will meet at 6:30 pm to discuss international current events. The discussion will be moderated by Joseph Warner, retired U.S. diplomat and adjunct professor of Geography and International Relations at Florida State College at Jacksonville. A reading list of suggested books and articles will be available in time to prepare for the discussions.
Viva Florida 500! First Friday Phenomenally Fun Florida Book Club

We're doing a year-long celebration of Florida literature and starting it off with a bang! Our March book: Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston. Join us as we discuss the adventures and loves and losses of Janie, the book's protagonist, and her life in 1930s Florida. Please pick a favorite quote or line from the book and bring it with you to the discussion.
Viva Florida 500! -- Teen Graphic Novel Workshop

Are you a teen who loves graphic novels? Ever thought of creating one yourself? All middle school and high school students are invited to celebrate Teen Tech Week with Andre Frattino, local author of two graphic novels for teens, The Reaper of St. George Street and Lost Souls of Savannah, featuring teen ghost hunters from St. Augustine! Andre will show you what it takes to become a graphic novel author with opportunities to create your own art if you wish. All teen graphic novel enthusiasts are encouraged to participate in this hands-on workshop. Storytimes @ Bartram Trail Branch!
Toddler Storytime: Wednesdays @ 10:10 am
Preschool Storytime: Wednesdays @ 11 am
Storytimes are every Wednesday January 2nd - April 24th. Toddler storytimes are geared for children 15 months to 3 years and their caregivers, but is open to all ages. (Program is approximately 20 minutes.) Preschool storytimes are for children ages 3 to 5 years. Children are encouraged to attend independently. Caregivers may stay in the room or close by in the library. Includes music, stories, and classroom-type interaction. (Program is 25-30 minutes.) We look forward to seeing you all!!
