Wi$e Money Week Event: Storytime

It's never too early to learn how to budget. In honor of Wi$e Money Week, we'll read stories about saving and spending. We'll also play Match It! Bingo, a game which familiarizes kids with currency and counting.

 

Children's Book Week: Bingo & Bowling for Books

In celebration of Children's Book Week, kids are invited to join us for Bingo, Wii Bowling, and snacks. We have books to give away, and no one will go home empty-handed.

The Rompus Roosters 4-H Club presents Ducks and Chickens Live! Join us for a reading of Cinders: A Chicken Cinderella by Jan Brett and learn from the 4-H kids about how to raise chickens and ducks. You might even get to touch a cute litte chick.

It's National Library Week and this year's theme is Lives Change @ Your Library. The Hastings Branch Library is interested learning about a book or event that changed your life. Adults and teens, stop by the desk and jot down your experience and we'll display your responses. Also, libraries have changed dramatically over the decades. Dino-roar, Fossil Explore

Kids, spend your Saturday afternoon being a paleontologist by  digging for real fossils collected from the Peace River in Southwestern Florida. See if you can guess the type of animal the fossils came from. Also, watch a prehistoric creature-feature while decorating your own dinosaur cookies.
