Some LuckThis month the club reads "Some Luck," by Pulitzer Prize winning author Jane Smiley. "Some Luck" follows the fortunes of a Midwestern farming family from 1920 until 1953. Each chapter covers a single year and the point of view skips from character to character. 

 

 


William Bartram Living History Program

Tuesday, July 28 @ 10am

Children are invited to explore life along the St. Johns River as experienced by William H.  Bartram. Mike Adams performs as Bartram, recounting the "critters" he encountered in the wilds of Florida in the late 1700's. Parents and children alike will be captivated by the adventures of the first American-born naturalist. This program will be presented at the W.E. Harris Center, Harris Street.

 


Beginning Sign Language

Do you want to learn another language? Learn sign language at the library with other beginners. You'll progress in a relaxed, supportive atmosphere.
