Today we’ll explore how to stay safe with people you don’t know. We’ll read The Berenstain Bears Learn about Strangers and other titles. We’ll also sing, role-play, and do a craft. You can never practice too much when it comes to staying safe. Join us.

Join us for gaming on the Xbox, PlayStation or Wii, use the computers, play board games, or just hang out with your friends in a fun, friendly environment. Guitars, a keyboard, and a violin are available if you feeling like getting musical.

Get Caught Reading (All Month Long)

May is Get Caught Reading month. Children and teens “caught” reading in the library, and elsewhere any time throughout the month of May, will receive a ticket to be entered into a weekly raffle. See a child or teen reading? Snap a picture and bring it to the library. Entrants will also have their pictures taken and posted on the bulletin board if they like. This annual national campaign is supported by the Association of American Publishers.

 

Scrapbooking for Teens

Saturday, May 25 @ 1pm
teenYour scrapbook tells the story of who you are, where you’ve been, what you’ve done, and what’s important to you. Bring your scrapbook pages and books, if you have them, plus your pictures and memorabilia. We’ll provide all the materials to help you decorate. (We have tons.) Two sheets of scrapbooking pages will be provided for each participant and two binders will be raffled off.
