Kids Event: Indigenous Crafts

Kids and tweens can come into the library to create some crafts that trace their roots back to the Aborigines and Native Americans. There will be painting, weaving and lots of imagination needed for this FREE program! *Sponsored by the Friends of the Anastasia Island Branch Library

Kids LEGO Brick Club

Come into the library to play with over 60 pounds of LEGO bricks and pieces. We supply the LEGO bricks and fun - all you need to bring is your imagination. There is no registration or fee for this program.

 

Zentangle: Relax & Draw for Kids and Teens

Zentangle® is an easy-to-learn, relaxing, and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing a structured pattern. If you can draw a "stick man," you can draw Zentangle. It increases focus and creativity, and provides artistic satisfaction along with an increased sense of personal well being. Everyone can learn and benefit from the practice of Zentangle because, "Anything is possible one stroke at a time." - Zentangle, Inc. This introductory class is free and open to kids and teens in 4th-12th grade.

 

Baby/Spanish Storytimes in February

Spanish StorytimesFridays @ 10:15am in the Childrens Department

Join us every Friday for a fun Spanish/English storytime in the Children's Department. We will have lapsits for babies, rhymes, stories, music, and more. This storytime is conducted in both English and Spanish and is geared towards children and parents learning Spanish, but all are welcome. Bienveniedos a todos!

AI StorytimesBaby/Toddler Time: Wednesdays @ 10:15am
Little Ones Craft Time: Wednesdays @ 10:45am
Preschool Storytime: Wednesdays @ 11:05am

Storytimes will run January 7 - April 29.
 
Baby & Toddler storytimes are for children up to 18 months. Craft time is open to all children and focuses on teaching scissor, glue and coloring skills. Preschool storytimes are open to any child who can sit for longer stories and participate in active songs, counting and colors in Spanish. Come for songs, stories, and fun. Baby/Spanish storytime consists of lap-sit rhymes, songs, and stories in both English and Spanish. We look forward to seeing you.

Tina Gordon with the GTM Reserve will bring a few live Florida snakes to the library so you can learn all about who they are, where they live, and what makes them unique. Sponsored by the Guana Tolomato Matanzas Reserve and The Friends of Main Library St. Augustine.

Toddler Time

Thursday, January 29 @ 11am

Toddler Time is a storytime program designed for children ages 1-3 years of age.  Join Mr. Andy and Mrs. Marcia in The Large Meeting Room for singing, dancing, and stories. There are two Toddler Times each Thursday. The first one is at 11am with a repeat performance at 11:30am. If you can't make one, then try the other. See you there.
