School-age children, tweens, and teens choose what they want to play this summer at the Main Library. A selection of video game choices for X-box 360, PS3, & Wii consoles will be offered. Complimentary snacks and refreshments will be provided for players. Sponsored by the Friends of the Library of St. Johns County & Sony.

Celebrate summer time with us cinematically! Each week we are showing a new release with a G or PG rating, so it's fun for the whole family. Please call the Main Library at 827-6940 for movie titles and ratings. We'll have plenty of pillow seating, lemonade, and free organic popcorn, courtesy of Diane's Natural Food Market.

Summer Storytimes @ Main Library

Weekly Storytimes @ Main LibraryIt's already summer, and we're inviting you to join us each week for all the laughs of storytime.  We'll share some of our favorite books, sing songs, play music, tell interactive stories, make crafts, & have lots of fun! 
Thursdays, June 6, 13, 20, 27 AND July 11, 18, 25!

Baby Time 10:15 am
A gentle lapsit program with action rhymes, fingerplays, and first books for babies.  For pre-walkers only, please.
Toddler Time 11 am
We'll sing, we'll dance, and share our excitement for books and learning at the library. Don't be shy and bring your dancing shoes!
Preschool Storytime 11:30 am
"Big Kids" get a storytime of their own. Longer stories, a variety of early literacy concepts, listening, & pre-classroom skills.  Perfect for 3-5 year olds.

CANCELLED:Children's Book Week Event: Digital Book Talks

Children's Book WeekThursday, May 16 @ 11am
Celebrate Children's Book Week by enjoying a series of digital booktalks featuring children sharing popular titles by new authors or some of your favorite classics. The purpose of booktalking is to get the people you care about to read the books you care about. Children are invited to stop by the Children's Library anytime before May 16 to record their own booktalk.  Unfortunately, this program has been cancelled!
