Come into the library to play with over 60 pounds of LEGO bricks and pieces. We supply the LEGO bricks and fun - all you need to bring is your imagination. There is no registration or fee for this program.

Southeast Library's science club is back! Learn about robots and how they work. Plus, you'll get to make your very own robot to take home. This science program is for kids in grades 2 and up. All supplies will be provided by the Friends of the Southeast Branch Library.

Teddy Bears and other stuffed critters are invited to a special sleepover event at the Main Library. Your human child can join you at a fun party celebrating teddy bears with stories, songs, crafts, snacks, and much more. After the party is over teddy bears get to spend the night at the library and have all kinds of adventures. When you get picked up and go home, you'll have a special souvenir to can give to your family.

We invite you to join us each week for all the laughs of storytime. We'll share some of our favorite books, sing songs, play music, tell interactive stories, make crafts, and have lots of fun. Themes for January include: Winter, Teddy Bears, Colors, I Love Books!, and Counting.
Baby Time 10:15am: A gentle lapsit program with action rhymes, fingerplays, and first books for babies. For pre-walkers only, please.
Toddler Time 11am: We'll sing, we'll dance, and share our excitement for books and learning at the library. Don't be shy and bring your dancing shoes.
Preschool Storytime 11:30am: "Big Kids" get a storytime of their own, including longer stories, a variety of early literacy concepts, listening, and pre-classroom skills. Perfect for 3-5 year olds.

Join us after school for a hands-on, minds-on science program and work closely with our very own mad scientists from the Children's Department. Explore a variety of science topics through fun experiments, activities, and lively discussions. All materials for experiments are provided. If you can't make it to the science lab, check out our amazing science project books.

School-age children, tweens, and teens choose what they want to play after school at the Main Library. A selection of video game choices for X-box 360, PS3, & Wii consoles will be offered. Sponsored by the Friends of the Library of St. Johns County & Sony.

Join us after school for a cinematic event. We'll show a new release with a G or PG rating, so it's fun for the whole family. Please call the Main Library at 827-6940 for movie title and rating. We have plenty of pillow seating and serve free, organic popcorn, courtesy of Diane's Natural Food Market.

Our world is filled with all kinds of sounds. This week we'll play with some of them, including the buzzing of bees, the thumping of hands on drums, and the voices of children. Join us for stories such as The Loud Book! and The Quiet Book by Deborah Underwood. We'll also talk about communication with the hearing impaired and learn some signs. Join us for music, dancing and a craft, too.
