Viva Florida 500: Family Storytime celebrating the 1st Annual Paseo Pastel Chalk Walk!

1st Annual Paseo Pastel Chalk WalkTuesday, March 26 @ 11 am

Join Ms. Anne for a special Family Storytime with picture books about creativity and art inside and then afterwards, fun chalk art drawing on our sidewalks outside! We are celebrating the 1st Annual Paseo Pastel Chalk Walk taking place in St. Augustine March 22 - 24. Celebrate reading, your child's creativity, and more at Family Storytime! Sidewalk chalk for this program is provided by the Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library. All are welcome and it's free!

 

National Library Week: Social Networking Safety Tips

Join us for a special Family Storytime (held in the Children's Department due to the library's Book Sale) celebrating Earth Day as well as Viva Florida 500. Ms. Anne will share earthy stories then we'll head outside for a special craft with Ms. Suzanne in Bird Island Park, located directly behind the library. Let's celebrate reading, being good to the Earth, and Bird Island Park's upcoming Earth Day Festival on April 20.

National Library Week: "Teens Got Talent" Showcase

Everyone in the community is invited to join us in celebrating National Library Week and supporting the talents of our local teens in Ponte Vedra. This year's Showcase - our first - will be presented and hosted by our new Teen Advisory Board, Youth Services Librarian Anne Crawford, and our Master of Ceremonies, Magician Mark Alan, who is also providing magic and comedy. Join us for musical performances, theatre, and more. Light refreshments are provided by the Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library who are generously sponsoring this event.

 

National Library Week: Family Storytime featuring guest readers: firefighters!

Join Ms. Anne and her special guest readers - local firefighters - for a special Family Storytime celebrating National Library Week! The firefighters will read the stories with Ms. Anne leading the songs and fingerplays. Every child will receive a special Dr. Seuss bookmark and an opportunity to explore the fire truck outside!

 

National Library Week: Just for Babies

Join us for a special "Just for Babies", celebrating National Library Week, with stories about loving to read and the library! Each baby attending will receive a special sticker. Parents, guardians, and grandparents:  don't forget to sign up for a library card for yourself and for your baby/grandbaby - no age is too young!

 

Viva Florida 500 - Family Storytime with Bird Island Park

Right after "Just for Babies" at 10:15 am, families and their children are invited to join us for Family Storytime with Ms. Anne, celebrating the anniversary of "The Very Hungry Caterpillar", springtime, with a special craft and activities in Bird Island Park (directly behind the library) with Ms. Suzanne. Activities will be held inside in case of rain. Celebrate Viva Florida 500, springtime, and reading at the library with Youth Services Librarian Ms. Anne and Ms. Suzanne of Bird Island Park at this special Family Storytime!

 

National Library Week: Community Crafty Saturday

Kids of all ages are welcome to drop by the library anytime this Saturday to make-and-take some really neat crafts and DIY projects.  In celebration of this year's National Library Week theme Community Matters, some of our own community helpers will be on hand to make crafts with you.

 

Read to Rover

Who let the dogs out?  Elementary students and beginning readers are invited to join our volunteer therapy dogs for a barking good time.  Read your favorite stories to these clever canines and become a member of the Read to Rover Frequent Reader Club.  Don't miss this great experience!

Shelby and Maddie will be at the library today!  Read them one of your favorite books or one of the many doggie tales we have at the library.
