Do you love bugs? Children grades k-7 are invited to become a true Nature Hero and learn all about dragonflies and hummingbirds, two amazing pollinators, with the Sisterhood of the Traveling Plants! These fun, educational workshops are hands-on with take-home gardening goodies for you, ending with a craft. The second workshop is a repeat of the first. These workshops are generously sponsored by the Friends of the Anastasia Island Branch Library and the Garden Club of St. Augustine. Space is limited, show up 30 minutes early for your FREE entry ticket!
Wednesday storytimes are on break August 12-26. They will resume on Wednesday, Sept 5.
Baby & Toddler storytimes are for children up to 18 months of age. Craft time is open to all children and focuses on teaching scissor, glue, and coloring skills. Preschool storytimes are open to any child who can sit for longer stories and participate in active songs, counting and colors in Spanish. Come for songs, stories, and fun. We look forward to seeing you.

Join us every Friday for a fun Spanish/English storytime in the Children's Department. We will have lapsits for babies, rhymes, stories, music, and more. This storytime is conducted in both English and Spanish and is geared toward children and parents learning Spanish, but all are welcome. Bienveniedos a todos!

Explore computer programming for kids with the world wide Hour of Code! Teens and pre-teens can explore a basic introduction to computer science and even learn basic programming skills using popular video game characters. The lessons increase in difficulty as you move through them so come back each month to improve your skills. This one hour program is designed to demystify code and show that anyone can learn the basics. There will be guided lessons as well as individual and group exploration. You can bring your own laptop or tablet or you can borrow one of ours. Supplies are limited. Sponsored by the Friends of the Main Library St. Augustine.

Join mad scientists, Mr. Andy and Ms. Marcia, as they dive into science. Young science enthusiasts, ages 6-16, are invited to join Main-iac Labs and have fun with our hands-on experiments. In this special FLYP edition of MAIN-iac Science Labs, we'll be learning about our favorite science hero, Albert Einstein. We'll even try some experiments based on his scientific theories.
