Superhero Storytime with the U.S. Coast Guard @ Anastasia Island Branch

Bring in your little ones to the Anastasia Island Branch Library to meet some of our local heroes, members of the U.S. Coast Guard. They will explain what they do and teach us about water safety. There will be a craft and a meet-and-greet and everyone will have a chance to meet a local superhero and ask questions.

 

 

Spooky Treats for Kids and Tweens

Don't be frightened, it's only a donut. Kids and Tweens will have fun creating their own scary treats... from Vampire Donuts to Delicious Spider Webs. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Anastasia Island Branch Library.

 

Children’s Magic Show and Trail of Treats

Children of all ages are invited to attend the Dr. Magic Show followed by a trip down the trail of Halloween treats. Costumes are encouraged but not required.

Come into the library to play with our LEGO bricks and pieces. We supply the LEGO bricks and fun - all you need to bring is your imagination. There is no registration or fee for this program.

 

 

Family Bingo for Books

Looking for fun for the whole family? Come in and play Bingo for Books from 2pm to 3pm today. Everyone is guaranteed to go home with at least one free book. Books are generously donated by the Friends of the Bartram Trail Branch Library.

It's an early release day, so grab your friends and join us for a movie at 3pm. Please contact us at 827-6960 to find out what we're showing this week on our big screen. Snacks are provided; bring your own drinks.

 

After School Family Film

Join us after school for a cinematic event. We'll show a new release with a G or PG rating, so it's fun for the whole family. Please call the Main Library at 827-6940 for movie title and rating. We have plenty of pillow seating and serve free, organic popcorn, courtesy of Diane's Natural Food Market.

 

Scooby Doo & the Painted Pumpkin Hullabaloo

Thursday, October 31 @ 3pm
Children of all ages are invited to join us in celebrating the arrival of Halloween with Scooby Doo and the rest of the spook-busting, case-cracking Mystery, Inc. gang. Kids can paint and decorate a small pumpkin (first come, first served or bring your own lil' pumpkin), then enjoy our comfy pillow seating for an airing of one Scooby's frightening adventures! Pumpkins are provided courtesy of the Friends of the Library of St. Johns County.

 

Un-Scary Halloween Party for Babies, Toddlers, and Preschoolers

Join us for our 5th annual "Un-Scary" Halloween Party and enjoy games, crafts, dancing, non-food prizes, a costume parade through the library, and more. Costumes are encouraged, but not required. PLEASE NOTE:  Bring your own camera to take pictures of your child(ren) at our "Pun-Kin Pictures" station. Call 827-6950 for more details.
