St. Johns Read Event: Old Florida Museum Tour

Saturday, February 21 @ 1pm

Kids and teens are invited to a free tour of the Old Florida Museum at the Bulls-Hit Ranch in Hastings. See antique farming equipment, a crop duster, the old Hastings train depot, a cracker house, and lots of other cool stuff. This treasure trove is right around the corner from the library at the Bulls-Hit Ranch & Farm, 9165 Old Hastings Road. If heading west on 207, take the third right after the Main St. intersection. Meet us there!

MAIN-iac Labs - Hour of Code: An Introduction to Computer Programming for Kids

Thursday, February 19 @ 4pm

Main-iac Labs is branching out into new territory by participating in the world wide Hour of Code! Kids (Ages 4+), can explore a basic introduction to computer science and even learn basic programming skills using the Angry Birds platform. This one hour program is designed to demystify code and show that anyone can learn the basics. There will be a guided lesson followed by individual and group exploration. Sponsored by the Friends of the Main Library St. Augustine.

 

MAIN-iac Science Labs: Water Displacement

Thursday, February 12 @ 4pm

Join mad scientists, Mr. Andy and Ms. Marcia, as they dive into science. Young science enthusiasts, ages 6-16, are invited to join Main-iac Labs and have fun with our hands on experiments. This month's theme is Water Displacement. Will it float?  Why? Sponsored by the Friends of the Main Library St. Augustine.
