Kids Be Your Own Scientist: Colors

Kids, ages 3-7, are invited to the library to learn about the science of colors. We will have fun stories and some hands-on activities teaching kids about colors and color mixing. Sponsored by the Friends of the Anastasia Island Library.

Preschool Storytime: Wednesdays @ 11:05am
Baby / Spanish Storytime: Fridays @ 10:15am

Storytimes run through December 3. Baby & Toddler storytimes are for children up to 18 months. Craft time is open to all children and focuses on teaching scissor, glue, and coloring skills. Preschool storytimes are open to any child who can sit for longer stories and participate in active songs, counting, and colors in Spanish. Come for songs, stories, and fun. Baby / Spanish storytime consists of lap-sit rhymes, songs, and stories in both English and Spanish.  We look forward to seeing you. 

 

STAND Against Bullying with Mark Alan

STAND Against Bullying is a 45-minute program focusing on a serious topic in a fun manner. Using comedy, magic, ventriloquism, musical routines, and lots of audience interaction, Mark helps give kids the tools they need to take a STAND against bullying. This program was made possible at all SJCPLS branch libraries through a Barbara A. Kay Foundation Grant.

 

Kids LEGO Brick Club

It's Talk Like a Pirate Day LEGO Club. Come to the library to play with over 60 pounds of LEGO bricks and pieces. Make something Piratey and get a prize. We supply the LEGO bricks and fun - all you need to bring is your imagination. There is no registration or fee for this program.

 

School Supply Giveaway

Saturday, August 16 @ 12:30 pm        

Students k - 12 are invited to enjoy a hot dog and some lemonade and to pick up some school supplies at our 4th annual giveaway. To receive supplies, children must be a St. Johns County Resident and be accompanied by an adult.

 

Toddler and Preschool Storytimes

Toddler Storytime is held every Wednesday, January 7 through April 29 at 10:15am. This program is designed for children 16 months to 3 years and their caregivers. Each session is 20-25 minutes.

Preschool Storytime is held every Wednesday, January 7 through April 29 @ 11am. This program is for children ages 3 to 5 years. Children are encouraged to attend independently. Caregivers may stay in the room or be close by in the library. Includes music, stories, and classrom-type interaction. Each session is 25-30 minutes. Visit our other branches for additional storytimes.
