The Knit Wits is a family affair. Kids (Ages 8-17) are welcome to learn to knit, or bring along mom so she can learn too. Learn to knit, or bring in something you’ve already started, and knit with the group. Please bring your own knitting needles, if you have them.

Celebrate Children's Book Week with New York Times best-selling teen author, Ponte Vedra resident, and library patron, Jake Marcionette. He will sign copies of his book, Just Jake, which will be available for purchase. Meet Jake, find out more about his book based on his middle school adventures, discover how he made it big, and celebrate our now famous library patron. Light refreshments will be served and we will be raffling off copies of Jake's book, thanks to the Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library. It's never too early to learn how to budget. In honor of Wi$e Money Week, we'll read stories about saving and spending. We'll also play Match It! Bingo, a game which familiarizes kids with currency and counting.

In honor of Earth Day, children, teens, and families are invited to view a film about an adorable baby chimp named Oscar and his entertaining approach to life in a remarkable story of family bonds and individual triumph. This film is rated G. Light refreshments will be provided by the Friends of the Southeast Branch Library.

Wear your PJs to this special session of our regular Wednesday storytime where we do storytime backwards. Arts and crafts come first and then we will wind down with some favorite stories. This is a family program that is suitable for all young children.
