LEGO Club for Tweens

LegoWednesday, January 15 @ 4pm
Every 3rd Wednesday of the month, tweens in 4th-7th grades are invited to the library for an afternoon of building with Legos and hanging out. No registration is necessary and it's free. Thanks to our Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library for providing the Legos for this very special program just for Tweens, including our pink Legos. Tween girl Lego lovers, we want you to join our club, too.

 

Family Game Time

Family Board Game NightWednesday, January 22 from 3pm - 6pm
Every 4th Wednesday of the month, the whole family is invited to the library to play board games, including Monopoly, Connect Four, Candy Land, Scrabble, Chutes & Ladders, Uno, and many more. Simply use your library card, or driver's license, to check out the games. All board games are provided by the Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library.

 

Free Nemours BrightStart Screenings for Ages 3 - 5

storytimeTuesday, January 21 from 10am - 12:30pm
Children ages 3-5 are invited to receive a free, 10-minute Early Literacy Screening at the library, courtesy of Nemours BrightStart. Registration is taken on a first-come, first serve basis by a Nemours representative. Utilize this free screening to find out where your child's literacy strengths lay and what you can do to help them improve in any other areas before they start school.

 

Teens Read with Kids

storytimeSaturday, January 11 from 10am - 12pm
All children are invited to be read to by a teen, or practice reading to a teen, in the Children's Department - this program is presented by the teens of Ponte Vedra High School's Book Club. Select what you'd like to hear, read from any of our books, or bring your favorites from home. Please note:  All children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult for the entire duration of the program and to be a teen participating in the program, you must be a member of the Ponte Vedra High School Book Club.


Summer Reading Event: Prehistoric Pottery

archaeologyWednesday, July 9 @ 2:30pm & 3:30pm
Kids can learn about the advent of pottery in Florida and do hands-on experimentation using pottery-making and decorating technology. They will learn how pottery helps archaeologists understand a site and its prehistoric people.  Children of all ages may attend; please be aware, however, that the Summer Reading Events are intended for the school-age child. To ensure that everyone is able to enjoy the program, there will be 95 tickets available 1 hour before each show. This program is sponsored and hosted by the Florida Public Archaeology Network.

 

GBBC Event: Bird Feeder Crafts for Kids and Tweens

Kids and Tweens can come into the library to create some unique bird feeders and origami birds. You'll be able to take your feeder home or leave it here to enter in our contest. All crafting supplies are provided, courtesy of the Friends of the Anastasia Island Branch Library.

 

 

Knit Wits Knitting Club for Kids & Teens

Kids and teens (Age 8-17) are welcome to join our new knitting group, The Knit Wits. Learn to knit, or bring in something you’ve already started, and knit with the group. Please bring your own knitting needles, if you have them.

Just for Babies @ Bartram Trail

Just for Babies Just for Babies: Tuesdays @ 11:05am
Just for Babies meets every Tuesday through April. Bring your child to play, socialize and learn with others their age. For children, birth to 15 months, and their caregivers. We look forward to seeing you. For more information on storytimes at other branches click here.

 

 

Knit Wits Knitting Club
