Preschool Storytime Wednesdays @ 11:05am
Storytimes are every Wednesday through July 31. Baby & Toddler storytimes are aimed at children up to 18 months. Craft time is open to all children and is aimed at teaching scissor, glue and coloring skills. Preschool storytimes are open to any child who can sit for longer stories and participate in active songs. Come for songs, stories, and fun. We look forward to seeing you all!! Children's FLYP Event: SingleVision

Held at Switzerland Community Church (2179 State Road 13)
Extinction is forever but you can help. Visit with our animal guests and learn from SingleVision how you can protect rare wildlife. Children of all ages may attend; please be aware, however, that FLYP programs are geared toward the school-age child. Strollers and street shoes will not be permitted in the building.  Contact the library at 827-6960 for additional information. Coin Club for Kids: Bartram Trail
Monday, April 21 @ 4pm

Hey kids, have you been thinking about starting a coin collection? Then you'll want to come to the "Introduction to Coin Collecting for Kids" program presented by the Greater Jacksonville Coin Club. You'll learn about the history of U.S. coins, how they are made, where the mints are located, and get to see coins like half cents, Flying Eagles, Indian Head cents, half dimes, half dollars, and many more. Registration is required, please call the library at 827-6960 to reserve your spot.

Tuesday, April 22 @ 6pm

In honor of Earth Day, children, teens, and families are invited to view a film about an adorable baby chimp named Oscar and his entertaining approach to life in a remarkable story of family bonds and individual triumph. This film is rated G. Light refreshments will be provided by the Friends of the Southeast Branch Library.

Family Board Game NightFamily Game Time: Ponte Vedra
Wednesday, April 23 from 3pm - 6pm

Every 4th Wednesday of the month, the whole family is invited to the library to play board games, including Monopoly, Connect Four, Candy Land, Scrabble, Chutes & Ladders, Uno, and many more. Simply use your library card, or driver's license, to check out the games. All board games - including our new ones (Trivial Pursuit Family Edition, Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Don't Drop the Egg, Super Mario Brothers Checkers, and Apples to Apples Disney Edition) are provided by the Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library.


Knit WitsKnit Wits Knitting Club for Kids & Teens: Anastasia Island

The Knit Wits is a family affair. Kids 8-17 are welcome to learn to knit, or bring along mom so she can learn too. Learn to knit, or bring in something you’ve already started, and knit with the group. Please bring your own knitting needles, if you have them.

Saturday, April 26 @ 11am

Who let the dogs out? Elementary students and beginning readers are invited to join our volunteer therapy dogs for a barking good time. Read your favorite stories to these clever canines and become a member of the Read to Rover Frequent Reader Club. Don't miss this great experience. Come visit with Maddie, Clifford, and Cookie. Read them one of your favorite books or one of the many doggie tales we have at the library.

Saturday, April 26 @ 1pm

Kids, spend your Saturday afternoon being a paleontologist by  digging for real fossils collected from the Peace River in Southwestern Florida. See if you can guess the type of animal the fossils came from. Also, watch a prehistoric creature-feature while decorating your own dinosaur cookies.
