Friends of the Library September Book Sale

Friends of the Library Book SaleFOL members are invited to a Preview Sale: Friday, September 6 from 10am - 12pm
The Book Sale will be open to the general public:
Friday, September 6, 1pm - 5pm
Saturday, September 7, 10am - 5pm
Monday, September 9, 10am - 7pm
Be sure to stock up for fall reading and choose from over 3,000 fiction titles and an extensive selection of cookbooks, all a result of generous patron donations and all priced at $1. Other selections include classics; biographies and memoirs; history; travel; health; inspiration; art, music and poetry; foreign language; reference; nature; hobbies, music CDs, and DVDs all priced at $1. Children's, young adult books, paperbacks, books on cassettes, and VHS movies will be priced at 50¢ each. On Tuesday, September 10, all remaining items will be available at special discount pricing from 10am – 2pm.

National Library Card Sign-Up Month: Family Film Event

When you sign-up to get your library card, it's just the beginning of a never ending story. To celebrate National Library Card Sign-Up Month, we invite you and yours to view a classic family film with us.  Please call the Main Library at 827-6940 for movie title and rating. We have plenty of pillow seating, lemonade, & organic popcorn, courtesy of Diane's Natural Food Market.

 

September Storytimes

Weekly Storytimes @ Main LibraryEvery Thursday
We invite you to join us each week for all the laughs of storytime. We'll share some of our favorite books, sing songs, play music, tell interactive stories, make crafts, and have lots of fun.
Baby Time 10:15am:
A gentle lapsit program with action rhymes, fingerplays, and first books for babies. For pre-walkers only, please.
Toddler Time 11am:
We'll sing, we'll dance, and share our excitement for books and learning at the library. Don't be shy and bring your dancing shoes.
Preschool Storytime 11:30am:
"Big Kids" get a storytime of their own. Longer stories, a variety of early literacy concepts, listening, and pre-classroom skills. Perfect for 3-5 year olds.


Pirates! A Storytime Adventure

Thursday, September 19 @ 11am & 11:30am
To celebrate National Library Card Sign-Up Month and International Talk Like a Pirate Day, we're going piratical for Toddler Time and Pre-K Storytime. Join our Children's Team as they share some of their favorite pirate books and songs. We invite you and your little ones to come dressed as pirates and get a photo taken in our pirate photo booth.
