Silent Peace Meditation

Silent Peace MeditationMeditation teacher, Kathleen Roberts, will open the group with a short breathing exercise and lead us into a silent meditation, where the participants will think peace. Ms. Roberts has been leading meditation and psychic development groups for over 10 years. Please call Kathleen at 669-1085 with any questions you may have. MAIN-iac Science Labs - Static Electricity

Join mad scientists, Mr. Andy and Ms. Marcia, as they dive into science. Young science enthusiasts ages 6-16 are invited to join Main-iac Labs and have fun with our hands on experiments. This month's theme is Static Electricity!  Sponsored by the Friends of the Main Library St. Augustine.

 

MAIN-iac Science Labs - Hour of Code: An Introduction to Programming for Kids

Thursday, January 22 @ 4pm

Main-iac Labs is branching out into new territory by participating in the world wide Hour of Code! Kids (Ages 4+), can explore a basic introduction to computer science and even learn basic programming skills using the Angry Birds platform. This one hour program is designed to demystify code and show that anyone can learn the basics. There will be a guided lesson followed by individual and group exploration. Sponsored by the Friends of the Main Library St. Augustine.

Children ages 4-5 are invited to join Mr. Andy and Ms. Marcia in The Randolph Caldecott Children's Room every Tuesday, January through April, for an engaging story time program. We will read books, sing songs, and try on our crafting skills.  Parents and caregivers are invited too.

Teddy Bear Sleepover

Tuesday, January 6 @ 6pm

It's a teddy bear sleepover at Main. Bring your favorite stuffed friend, teddy bear or otherwise, and read some bedtime stories, enjoy some snacks, then tuck them in for a library sleepover. Your favorite stuffed friend will play with all the other stuffed animals all night long. Pick them up the next day and they'll tell you all about the fun they had. They'll even have pictures to prove it. Sponsored by the Friends of the Main Library St. Augustine.

 

Android User Group

Adult Bingo For Books

Bingo for booksDo you love free books and playing B-I-N-G-O? Come on out to the library, make new friends or bring old friends along, and win adult fiction and non-fiction books. Everyone is guaranteed to go home with at least one book. Book prizes are generously donated by the Friends of the Main Library St. Augustine. Everyone is welcome and it's free.
