Adult Summer Reading Begins

Adult Summer Reading June 2 through August 2
For every book you read, and submit a review for from June 2 through August 2, you will be entered into a raffle to win prizes. The more you read and review, the better your chances are to win. Review forms are available at the Main Library. Must be 18 or older to enter.

 

 

Pre-K Storytime

Tuesday, June 24 @ 11am
Pre-K toddler time has moved to Tuesdays at Main Library. This program, aimed at 3-5 year olds prepping for Kindergarten, features story telling, songs, and crafting. Meet Mr. Andy and Mrs. Marcia Tuesday mornings at 11am in the Children's Room for fun toddler time.

 

Toddler Time

Thursday, June 19 @ 11am
It's Toddler Time, for ages 1-3 years old. Mr. Andy and Mrs. Marcia will sing songs, read stories, perform action rhymes, and more. There are two toddler times in the large meeting room every Thursday. The first is at 11am and the second is at 11:30am. Seating is limited, so if you can't make the first one, stick around for the next one.

 

Babytime

Thursday, June 19 @ 10:15am
Babytime at Main Library, for ages 0-16 months. Join us in the Children's Room at Main Library for lapsit circle time. We will engage the wee little ones with songs, action rhymes, and sensory exploration. This program is for the very little ones only. Once your child is able to run, they are ready to graduate to Toddler Time.

 

Bag Sale - Main Library Summer Book Sale

Tuesday, June 10 @ 10am
The final day of the book sale, Tuesday, June 10, is a bag sale. From 10am to 3pm, paper grocery bags are provided so customers can fill a bag with books for $3. The book sale is held by the Friends of the Main Library St. Augustine as a fundraiser and all sale proceeds support programs and other needs of the Main Library.

 

Summer Book Sale

Friday, June 6 @ 1pm
The sale features books of all kinds and items such as DVDs, CDs, VHS tapes, and audio books. Hardback books cost $1 and paperbacks cost $.50, with many children's books priced even lower. A selection of special books is individually priced at $3 and up. The book sale is held by the Friends of the Main Library St. Augustine as a fundraiser and all sale proceeds support programs and other needs of the Main Library. The book sale opens to the public on Friday, June 6 at 1pm and runs until 5pm. Public book sale hours on Saturday, June 7 are 10am to 4pm and on Monday, June 9, 10am until 7pm. Summer Reading Event: Final Ice Cream Party

It's the last episode of this year's Florida Library Youth Program. Help us close out a great summer with one of the most amazing scientific creations ever: Ice Cream. Create your own science experiment by mixing and matching a variety of toppings. All are welcome and the fun lasts until the last scoop is gone.

 

Members Only - Main Library Summer Book Sale

Friends of the Main Library St. AugustineFriday, June 6 @ 10am
The first two hours of the book sale are reserved for members only of the Friends of the Main Library St. Augustine. Non-members will be able to join the Friends at this time and attend the members-only sale. Membership dues are $15 per calendar year. Summer Reading Event: Main-iac Science Labs pt.2

Florida Writers Association: Go Write and You Won't Go Wrong with Michael Ray King

Author Michael Ray King presents his latest book, Go Write and You Won't Go Wrong: Writing Your Book in Thirty Days. He is the author of nine books, a five-time Royal Palm Literary Award winner, and is the owner of Clear View Press Inc., a small book publishing company based in Palm Coast. This meeting is sponsored by the Florida Writers Association/Ancient City Chapter and the Friends of the Main Library St. Augustine. All book sales benefit the Friends of the Library. All meetings are free and open to the public.
