Discover the resources of the St. Augustine Historical Research Society Library by examining pictures, maps, books, and other documentation of the Florida East Coast Railway and Henry Flagler's personal life. This engaging seminar is ofference by Chief Librarian, Bob Nawrocki.

St. Johns Reads Event: Thomas Neil Knowles

St. Johns ReadsAuthor of Category 5 and historian, Thomas Neil Knowles, will examine the 1935 Labor Day hurricane, which caused the death of more than 400 people in the Keys alone and destroyed the Florida East Coast Railway's Key West Extension. Knowles will describe what daily life was like on the Keys and why so many Americans perished in the storm.
