J.A.A.M. (Japanese Anime At Main)

Tweens, teens, and young twenty-somethings are invited to the monthly meeting of our anime club, where you can meet others with similar interests. We’ll be viewing assorted Anime & enjoying Japanese candy.  Feel free to wear a costume if you’d like and come JAAM with us!

 

CANCELLED-One Stroke Winter Craft for Kids

One Stroke Wintercraft for KidsWednesday, December 12 @ 2 pm 
Unfortunately, this class has been cancelled!
Children in K-5th grade are invited to learn One Stroke by painting glass snowmen luminaries.  One Stroke is a learned art form pioneered by Florida resident Donna Dewberry. No experience necessary. Come and learn some basic painting strokes, and make a fun craft at the same time. Mason jars and all other materials will be provided. Please call 904.827.6940 to sign up for this FREE art class. Limited to the first 20 students! Presented by Charlene Burton, a certified One Stroke instructor.  

 

Winter Break Teen Gaming

Winter Break Teen GamingWednesday, December 26 - Thursday, December 27 @ 2 pm
School-age children, tweens, and teens choose what they want to play with a day of no school at the Main library. A selection of video game choices for X-box 360, PS3, & Wii consoles will be offered.  Complimentary snacks and soda will be provided.  Sponsored by the Friends of the Library & Sony.

Whimsically Wonderful Winter Crafts with Andy & Marcia

Even the youngest crafter will welcome the winter season with these beautiful, easy-to-make projects. The crafts, all based on the symbols of winter, include snow, snowmen, and mittens. Join our children's staff for an afternoon of FREE crafting to celebrate the holiday season. Gentle Stretching with Gina Marie

This FREE class emphasizes stretching, coordination of breath with movement, and attention to alignment. The class is designed to create breath awareness, enhance balance, and increase flexibility. Stretching is great for those who are experiencing joint sensitivity, or overall stiffness. Wear loose clothing, bring a towel & mat. Presented by licensed yoga instructor, Gina Mercado.
