Inspired by the Lakota Indians, Raindrop Therapy has been used for years as a highly effective method for balancing and rejuvenating the mind and body. When properly applied to the neck, back and feet, these essential oils can bring about electrical alignment and help relieve a variety of discomforts caused by imbalances in the body. Presented by licensed massage therapist, Gina Mercado.

Writers' Workshop: Tackling Goal, Motivation and Conflict

When you think of GMC does your head turn in circles on your neck? If that's the case, then this workshop will help you use it to make your stories stronger, focused, and motivated. We'll discuss what goals are worthy of our characters, what is a strong enough motivation to send them after that goal regardless of risks, and what conflicts will best prevent the characters from reaching their goals. Presented by guest author and lecturer, Elizabeth Sinclair. This program is offered through a partnership with the Friends of the Library of St. Johns County and the Ancient City Chapter/FWA. Free and open to the public.

 

CANCELLED:Children's Book Week Event: Digital Book Talks

Children's Book WeekThursday, May 16 @ 11am
Celebrate Children's Book Week by enjoying a series of digital booktalks featuring children sharing popular titles by new authors or some of your favorite classics. The purpose of booktalking is to get the people you care about to read the books you care about. Children are invited to stop by the Children's Library anytime before May 16 to record their own booktalk.  Unfortunately, this program has been cancelled!
