Adult Bingo For Books

Do you love free books and playing B-I-N-G-O? Come out to the library, make new friends or bring old friends along, and win adult fiction and non-fiction books. Everyone is guaranteed to go home with at least one book. Book prizes are generously donated by the Friends of the Main Library. Everyone is welcome and it's free.

Silent Peace Meditation

Silent Peace MeditationWednesday, March 4 @ 7 pm

Meditation teacher, Kathleen Roberts, will open the group with a short breathing exercise and lead us into a silent meditation, where the participants will think peace. The St. Johns Housing Partnership is holding a free class designed to help families talk about money, manage their money, and build (or re-build) good credit. This two-hour class includes tracking your money, setting financial goals, spending plans, getting smart about credit, and managing the costs of homeownership. Call 819-1266 to register.

Florida Writers Association / Ancient City Chapter Monthly Meeting

Florida Writers AssociationThe Florida Writers Association will not be meeting at the Main Library in February. The next meeting will be March 21st.

In today's Family Feature Film, square shaped subterraneans raise an orphaned boy, who helps them fight back against an evil exterminator and make peace with the fearful residents of an upper-crust Victorian-era town known for its world-class cheeses. This new release film is rated PG. Black History Month Celebration with Park Ranger Ted Johnson

Tuesday, February 3 @ 4pm

Park Ranger, Ted Johnson, from the Castillo de San Marcos National Monument, will present a special 45-minute interactive living history program detailing the history of Fort Mose, the first legally sanctioned free black settlement in North America. Children will be able to try on colonial Spanish uniforms and handle period replicas that vividly illustrate the lives and struggles of the culturally diverse Mose settlers and their commitment to protecting their families, community, beliefs, country, and above all, their freedom.
