Tuesday, November 27 from 10 am - 12:30 pm
Children ages 3 - 5 are invited to receive a 10-minute FREE Early Literacy Screening at the Library courtesy of Nemours BrightStart! Registration will be taken on a first-come, first serve basis on this day by Angela of Nemours. Nemours BrightStart will be returning in 2013 to conduct more screenings at the Library for those not able to take advantage of the opportunity on this date. Utilize this free screening to find out where your child's literacy strengths lay and what you can do to help them improve in any other areas before they start school!
Family Game Time
Wednesday, November 28 from 3 - 6 pm
On the 4th Wednesday of every month between 3 - 6 pm, the whole family is invited to the library to play board games! Simply use your library card or driver's license to check out a board game or two from the Reference Desk and play anywhere in the library. Challenge your family and friends to your favorite games! Call the Library at 827-6950 for more details. All board games are generously provided by the Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library.
LEGO Club for Tweens
Wednesday, November 14 from 4 - 5 pm
Tweens ages 9 - 13/4th - 7th grade ONLY are invited to come on out and bring your friends for an afternoon of fun building with Legos and hanging out at the library. No registration is necessary and it's free! Thanks to our Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library for providing the Legos for this very special program just for Tweens!
Teen Gaming Night
Wednesday, November 7 from 5 - 7 pm
For middle and high school students ages 11 - 18 ONLY - have fun with your friends at the library and play "E" and "T"-rated games on our PlayStation 3 (with the new Move), Nintendo Wii, and X-Box 360 (with the new Kinect) set up on three TVs for simultaneous playing! Snacks will be served. This event is generously sponsored by the Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library, Sabina of GameStop, and Sean of Sony PlayStation. Call 827-6950 for more details!
After-School Crafts with Teens
Wednesday, November 7 from 4 - 5 pm
Children in Kindergarten - 5th grade ONLY and their caregivers are invited to make crafts with the teens of Nease High School's Arts in Motion Club! Materials are provided thanks to Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library, no registration needed, and it's FREE! Please Note: All children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the program.
"Just for Babies" and Family Storytime w/Ms. Anne - NOVEMBER DATES
Just for Babies - Held the 1st and 3rd Tuesday mornings, September - November, at 10:15 am; babies up to 15 months and their caregivers. This infant lapsit is designed for one-on-one interaction between caregiver and baby. Families with multiple children are encouraged to attend Family Storytime. Just for Babies November Dates: November 6 and 20.
Family Storytime - Held every Tuesday morning, September - November, at 11 am; aimed at children 16 months - 5 years and their families, though no child will be turned away! Teens Read with Kids
Saturday, November 3 from 10 am - 12 pm
All children are invited to be read to by a teen or practice reading to a teen each month in the Children's Department - this program is presented by the teens of Ponte Vedra High School's Book Club! Select what you'd like to hear or read from any of our books or bring your favorites from home. Please note: All children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult for the entire duration of the program and to be a teen participating in the program, you must be a member of the Ponte Vedra High School Book Club.
Planning for College Seminar
Saturday, November 3 from 2 - 3 pm
Are you looking for help in planning for your child's college education? Please join us when Luke Burge from First Financial Education Centers, LLC shares strategies on planning and financing a college education for your child. This workshop is for adults, but students are welcome, too. Free, but registration is required! Please call the Library at 827-6950 or visit the Reference Desk to register.
Adult Bingo for BOOOOOks

Get in the Halloween spirit with "Bingo for BOOOOOks". If you wear a costume to this event, every time you yell "Bingo", you'll win 2 books instead of one. Everyone is guaranteed to go home with at least one free book. Book prizes are generously donated by the Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Library! Everyone is welcome and it's FREE!
Computer Class: Free E-books for your Nook
Thursday, November 15 @ 10:30 am - 12 pm
Learn how to download free e-books from the library's website to your Nook. Please bring your Nook and your laptop (if you own one) to class. Laptops will be provided otherwise.
