St. Johns Reads Event: Florida Fun Family Storytime

JEA Home Energy and Water Evaluation Workshop

Saturday, January 25 from 10:30 am - 11:30 am

Become an energy detective at one of JEA's free one-hour workshops, where you and your family can learn about conserving energy, lowering utility costs, identifying problem areas in your home, and tips on how to fix them. Participants will learn how to use our FREE Do-It-Yourself Home Energy and Water Evaluation Kit. A limited number of backpacks will be available at this hour-long workshop for checkout. Join Dr. Daniel Cantliffe, UF/IFAS County Extension Director St. Johns County, as he discusses the fascinating agricultural history of St. Johns County. Along the way, you will learn about the crops, people, artifacts, and farming practices that have made Northeast Florida what it is today.

 

St. Johns Reads Event: Genealogy Workshop - Florida Research & Online Resources

Wednesday, February 19 @ 6:30pm

Florida is a state varied in history and culture. Certified genealogist, C. Ann Staley, will show us how to work through that diversity utilizing resources available on the World Wide Web. Some of the many resources being discussed will be Military and Photographic Records, Obituary and Cemetery Databases, Vital Records and Special Collections. No registration is necessary.
