Kids of all ages are invited to learn about rocks from local artisans Cheryl & Tony! They'll have all sorts of rocks, stones, and gems for hands-on fun and learning.

Are you ready to ride? The Bookmobile-Extension Services department is partnering with VeloFest, the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office, Sprockets Bicycle Shop, and Hyppo Cafe to prep you and your family for a summer of safe and fun pedaling. Brandon from Sprockets will show you how to easily repair a flat tire at 10:30am and at 12:30pm, teach you how to change your brakes. Three safety stations will provide great tips on how to maneuver curves and cross streets as well as helmet safety. Bring your own bicycle helmet to be fitted and The Hyppo Cafe food truck will reward you with a free Hyppo Pop.

Be sure to stop by the book sale hosted by the Friends of the Southeast Branch Library for great bargain shopping between 10am and 3pm! Make it a great day of Bikes & Books!

Stepping On: Building Confidence, Reducing Falls

Did you know more than one-third of people age 65 or older fall each year? Falls are the leading cause of injury and hospitalization for trauma and death among older adults.

Brooks Rehabilitation presents a free, 7-week workshop for people 65+ beginning Tuesday, April 21, where you'll learn exercises and strategies to help prevent you from falling. Registration is required for this workshop series. Please call the library at 827-6900 to sign up.
