Women's Self-Defense Series

Saturdays, May 23 and 30 @ 10:30am

All American Martial ArtsAll American Martial Arts presents a free series covering all aspects of women’s personal safety, self-defense techniques, practical application, and statistics. All participants should bring a notebook and pen or pencil. Participants are expected to attend both classes, held at 10:30am on May 23 and 30. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Please call the Library at 827-6900 to reserve your spot.

*Due to the mature content discussed and self-defense techniques taught, this course is designed for women ages 18+, however, a parent, relative, or guardian can accompany their daughter, niece, granddaughter, etc., ages 13-17. For more information, call All American Martial Arts at 797-2262.

Learn easy summer "yardening" tips from Renee Stambaugh of Native Plant Consulting & Native Gardens Nursery. Which plants do well in different areas of your yard? Renee has lots of suggestions so you can have successful planting and growth. Plants will be available for purchase with a portion of the proceeds to benefit the Friends of the Southeast Branch Library.
