Everyone is welcome to join us as we continue the Southeast Branch's knitting club...the Knotty Knitters!  All ages and abilities are welcome.  Instruction can be provided to basic beginners.  Make new friends and learn a new craft.

Friends of the Library Booksale

Saturday, February 9 from 10 am to 4 pm

The Friends of the Southeast Library will be holding a book sale.  Tables full of books of all kinds will be on sale with most priced at $1.00 or lower.  In addition to books, other items such as DVDs, CDs and VHS tapes will be available.  The FOLSE Bookstore will be open during the same hours with the same low prices.

February 1 - February 28

Calling all aspiring writers!  Put your skills to work by writing a mystery short story.  Contest Rules: 1-One entry per person. 2-Any age may participate. 3-All entries must be of a murder or mystery theme and must be no more than 2500 words (or 10 pages). 4-Entries must be submitted by Thursday, February 28th.  They may be submitted in person, by fax (827-6905), email (libse@sjcfl.us) or regular mail (6670 US 1 South, St. Augustine, FL 32086).  Prizes to be announced.

Author, speaker, and forensic death investigator Kent Holloway of the St. Johns County Medical Examiner's Office will be breaking down the details of where the facts and fiction of forensic death investigation meet in a fun and entertaining presentation.

Rambling Sailors is a duo act dedicated to performing traditional and modern sea shanties and ballads of the sea delivered with their original passion, and better instruments.  Their music is characterized by powerful vocals, strong harmonies, and a mood range from the sweet to the epic.
