Calling all teen artists, poets, and scholars... hang out with Mr. Jim from All American Martial Arts and learn how board breaking = better grades. Bring your drawings, poems, short stories, or anything else you want to share with this talented group of teens. Don't forget your mug - coffee, tea, and hot chocolate will be provided.

 

Children's Book Week: Music, Rhythm and Motion with Yehaa Bob!

Bob Jackson of Orlando and Disney fame brings his interactive show of comedy, music, and fun to St. Augustine.  This sing-along show incorporates comedy, music, and fun to educate children on the different aspects of music and to encourage the appreciation of music in everyday life.  In celebration of Children's Book Week, books about music will be on display and available for checkout with a valid St. Johns County Public Library card.
 
Bob Jackson has been bringing laughter and music to audiences at Walt Disney World for more than sixteen years. Bob was awarded the Disney Legacy Award in 2013. Bob combines his great boogie woogie piano skills with comedy and sing-along to create a unique audience interactive experience.

Turtle Talk with Jade

Celebrate World Turtle Day by learning some cool new facts about turtles with Jade of the St. Johns County Environmental Division. She'll teach you about the turtles in our area and why they need our help. This hands-on experience will include a craft. This program is geared toward kids, but will be enjoyed by all ages. Who let the dogs out? Elementary students and beginning readers are invited to join our volunteer therapy dogs for a barking good time. Read your favorite stories to these clever canines and become a member of the Read to Rover Frequent Reader Club. Don't miss this great experience.

Come visit with Maddie, Cookie, and our newest dog Polly. Read them one of your favorite books or one of the many doggie tales we have at the library.
