Calling all teen artists, poets, and scholars: come share your drawings, sketches, poems, stories...anything. We will meet in the Teen Lounge and share our art and the art of others. This month, special guest Becky Pourchot, Flagler Beach author of The Hungry Ghost series, will be joining us. Bring your sketchbooks, journals, and your own coffee mug and we'll fill it with decaf coffee, tea, hot chocolate, or apple cider. Sponsored by the Friends of the Southeast Branch Library.

Homeschool Hoopla

homeschoolWednesday, September 4 @ 12pm

Join our homeschool group... right after storytime. Starting at 12pm, socialize with other homeschool kids and parents during a bring-your-own brown bag “Library Lunch." Then, join our Library Lessons class at 12:30pm, where you and your child will learn together how to use library resources, from finding books on the shelf to checking out e-books. We meet once a month and the library lessons presented will be adaptable to all ages. Call Kristine at 827-6900 for more information.

This month's lesson is called "Where in the Library?"  We will be locating and identifying areas in the library and using pictures and print to gather information.
