Little Ones Storytime

Join Miss Kristine and Miss Alex every Wednesday for quality time with your baby or toddler. Formerly Just For Babies; same program, different name. Enjoy songs, stories, fingerplays, games, and so much more during this lapsit program. Duffy the Storytime Bear is looking forward to meeting you under the parachute. Older siblings are welcome to stick around for Family Storytime right after. Plus, receive a goody bag when you attend for the first time.

This season our theme is colors.  Our color this week is blue.  Don't forget to wear something blue today.

National Library Card Sign-Up Month: Visit the Bookmobile

Have you ever visited the St. Johns County Bookmobile? If not, now is the time. The Bookmobile will be rolling into the parking lot of the Southeast Branch Library at 3pm and will be available for patrons of all ages to tour and check out materials. September is National Library Card Sign-Up Month. If you don't have a library card, this is the perfect opportunity to sign up.

The fun starts early. Join Miss Kristine for a library pep rally at 2:30pm. We will welcome the Bookmobile with dancing and cheering when it arrives at 3pm. There will be a family craft starting at 3pm.

Vegetarian Ways: Keeping it Tasty

Join Akilah for a fun afternoon of vegetarian cooking, sample tasting, and sharing healthy eating for the whole family. Learn quick juicing ideas and delicious meal planning that even the most hard core meat-eater will love. This class is free, but registration is required. S.T.A.N.D. Against Bullying with Mark Alan

Magician Mark Alan deals with a serious topic in a fun manner using comedy, magic, ventriloquism, musical routines, and lots of interaction to help give kids the tools to take a stand against bullying. This 45-minute program is intended for elementary-age children, but is fun for all. Sponsored by the Friends of the Southeast Branch Library.

 

 

Teen Coffeehouse

Calling all teen artists, poets, and scholars: It’s time to go back to school, so join us for a school supplies trade. Bring in a folder or notebook to decorate and give away to another teen. Don’t forget to bring artwork to share and your mug and we’ll fill it up with hot chocolate, tea, or decaf coffee, compliments of the Friends of the Southeast Branch Library.

 

 

Chalk It Up With Pelican Pete
